Donic Bluefire JP rubbers have been developed with Japanese influence, which DONIC has successfully incorporated in the production of Formula DONIC (FD3 3rd Generation) Technology. The result: Bluefire JP01 and Bluefire JP03.

This is a new type of pimpled rubber in combination with the proven, dynamic blue sponge but with a somewhat finer pored structure. This lends the rubber sensational feel, with maximum catapult and a very high arc of the ball. The very grippy, taut but elastic top surface rubber produces maximum spin when top-spinning and fantastic control due to increased contact on the bat.

Bluefire JP 03 with a softer sponge has excellent playing qualities with optimum control. The perfect alternative for attackers as well as -power-allround- players, who value maximum control to return the ball under pressure in any situation.

Playing characteristics: Extremely grippy, taut, though elastic top surface rubber combined with a softer sponge. Ensures outstanding feeling with maximum control. Recommended for attackers as well as power-allround players who require maximum control to return the ball under pressure in any situation.

I am using a piece on my Bty.Taksim CPH blade. It is a very good rubber just as it stated on the cover! Not as fast as the Bty.05 FX but is better than Xiom Sigma II Euro (my last 2 pieces of rubbers) overall. It is really worth a try!

Bluefire JP 03 vs M3 - MAX
3/25/2014

Tried out a new paddle with both the JP03 and M3 on either side. My last paddle had the Desto 3 and I have to say that both of the new rubber was easy to adapt to. I play penholder and I ordered the MAX thickness. I tried playing both sides with forehand and back hand and I have the following conclusion: JP03 has a tad bit more control and so I decided to use it as my forehand. The ball returns are lower than the M3 but it has a slightly less bouncy feel. Also, when you return a side spin with your paddle turned to counteract with the spin, the ball goes fast and low like no other rubber I have used putting a significant pressure on the server. M3 - If I didn't have the JP 03 to compare, the M3 is also great for forehand. The throw angle is a bit higher than JP 03, and that is one of the reason why I decided to use it as backhand because I would have had to change my techniques a little bit coming from the Desto 3. From a back hand perspective, I am a little bit weaker so the extra power it generates compliments me well. Overall, the loops on both sides are fantastic. I assume that if I am in a game of speed, I would use the M3 as forehand and if I am in a game of control and really short table rallies like the pros do in the first few hits after a serve, I would use the JP 03 against those opponents. Worth the upgrade, but use it on a light blade because the weight isn't as light I wish it could be.

Great alternative to Tenergy

This is an excellent forehand rubber in my opinion. It is springy not too much and helps with both spin and speed especially for those of us who do not prefer Chinese rubber. At the same time this rubber is relatively durable. I have had a few accidents happened on it and so far it is still intact after more than 4 months of use play at least 5-6 times a week.
