2025 NCTTA Championships: Rockford's Table Tennis Takeover

The 2025 NCTTA Championships in Rockford, Illinois, were nothing short of spectacular. Held at the UW Health Sports Factory from April 4–6, the venue buzzed with talent, tension, and triumph as college table tennis teams from across North America battled for glory.

Women's Team Champions

Champion: UCLA

  • Defeated Cornell 3-1 in the final
  • Key Players: Angie Tan, Joanna Sung, Kary Fang

Finalist: Cornell

  • Fought valiantly to reach the final after defeating NYU and Illinois

Semifinalists: Harvard and NYU


Coed Team Champions

Champion: University of California

  • Edged out Texas Wesleyan 3-2 in a thrilling final
  • Featured deep bench strength and coaching excellence

Finalist: Texas Wesleyan

  • Battled fiercely and came up just short in the final

Semifinalists: NYU and UCLA


Women's Singles Champion

Champion: Kelly Yenn (Harvard)

  • Defeated Emily Tan (Boston University) in the final: 11-8, 12-10, 11-9, 11-8

Finalist: Emily Tan (Boston University)

  • Tremendous tactical play throughout the bracket

Semifinalists: Joanna Sung (UCLA) and Sarah Jalli (Baylor)


Men's Singles Champion

Champion: Nikhil Kumar (California)

  • Beat Ved Sheth (California) in an all-Cal final: 11-9, 11-8, 11-13, 11-5, 5-11, 11-9

Finalist: Ved Sheth (California)

  • Strong performance showcasing consistency and precision

Semifinalists: Senura Silva (Texas Wesleyan) and Peter Yuan (NYU)
