Paddle Palace Spring Teams Event Brings High-Level Matches and Breakthrough Moments

The Paddle Palace Spring 2-Person Teams & Giant Round Robin brought together a strong mix of rising juniors, experienced club players, and tough competitors battling across multiple divisions. The event featured exciting team play in the Under 4000 Teams Round Robin along with the always entertaining Giant Round Robin divisions, where players had the chance to test themselves against a wide range of styles and levels.

The Under 4000 Teams event produced some of the most dramatic matches of the day. Pip Nightmare, featuring Ryan “The Nightmare” Gibson and Imrul Kayes, captured the title after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Wish I Was a Paddler in the final. The championship match showcased aggressive attacking play, clutch doubles exchanges, and strong mental toughness under pressure.

Wish I Was a Paddler, led by Burke Walls and Chenxi Sui, had an outstanding run to the finals after winning a difficult semifinal battle over Endurance. Endurance, powered by Nicholas Daescu and Nate Wilkinson, earned third place after a strong group stage performance. The Oregon Lions team of Artur Morar and Pavlo Pidoima also impressed throughout the day and secured a top-four finish.

One of the standout individual performances came from Pavlo Pidoima, who dominated Giant RR Division A with a perfect 6-0 record. Pidoima showed exceptional consistency and shot quality against a very competitive field. Ryan “The Nightmare” Gibson finished second after another strong event, while Michael Groom earned third place with several key wins.

In Giant RR Division B, Jonah Vu took first place with sharp attacking play and strong composure in close games. Reza Hantehzadeh finished second, and Darwin Ismael Castro Lopez claimed third after several exciting matches filled with long rallies and momentum swings.

Kerry Blum captured the Giant RR Division C title with a 5-1 record. Nitya Shah pushed hard for second place, while Jean-Luc Raffaele rounded out the podium after multiple comeback victories during group play.

Tristan Lam won Giant RR Division D with a solid 5-1 performance, narrowly ahead of Tommy Becker. Brenner Henry secured third place after battling through several tight five-game matches.

In Giant RR Division E, Adam Mertz completed a dominant undefeated 6-0 run to take first place. Paul Sample earned second, while Brent Wojahn finished third with several impressive wins.

The event showcased a strong mix of experienced club veterans, improving tournament players, and rising competitors across every division. Several matches came down to the final game, with players demonstrating strong attacking play, smart tactical adjustments, and heated excitement throughout the day.

The combination of team strategy, doubles chemistry, and Giant Round Robin endurance created a full day of competitive table tennis and great teamwork. Thank you to Tournament Director, Burke Walls and all the players, and supporters who helped make the event a success.
