Nittaku Acoustic Penhold w/DHS Hurricane 8-80 & Donic BlueGrip J2 (#197)

This Paddle Palace Custom Paddle features the Nittaku Acoustic penhold blade, assembled with red DHS Hurricane 8-80 Hard (2.1mm) & black Donic BlueGrip J2 (2.0mm) rubber.

THE BLADE: The Nittaku Acoustic blade, with a Chinese penhold-style handle, is made with special wood lamination technology originally used in stringed instrument production. Feel the blade in every part of your hand. Thicker wood produces solid feeling for close-to-table topspin play.

RED RUBBER: DHS Hurricane 8-80 is an elastic high-stickiness rubber + high elastic sponge. This is a modification of the Hurricane 8 rubber with a more elastic sponge, which makes it even easier to play with the Chinese sticky rubber.

Hurricane 8-80 keeps a good balance between speed and control. The new 80# high-elasticity sponge provides solid hand feel and offensive effect with a short break-in period. Maintaining the unique spin of Hurricane Series, Hurricane 8-80 can achieve excellent speed and elasticity under small and medium power. Lighter and more resilient, is suitable for forehand and backhand use.

BLACK RUBBER: Donic BlueGrip J2 is very dynamic and catapult-strong, extremely spin-friendly, guaranteeing high precision in ball placement. Recommended for modern, offensively oriented players.

The new component in the Donic BlueGrip-J series combines the strengths of two rubbers. Under the direction of Donic partner and Chinese superstar, Zhang Jike, a symbiosis of the BlueStar A and BlueGrip C series was created.

The topsheet compound of the BlueStar A provided the basis for this mix, while the sponge structure and geometry of the topsheet correspond to those of the BlueGrip C. The result is a rubber that meets the highest demands: very dynamic and extremely spin-friendly, powerful yet sensitive.
