This Paddle Palace Custom Paddle features the Donic Zhang Jike Original Carbon flared-handled blade, assembled with red Tibhar Hybrid K3 FX (max) & black Donic BlueGrip J1 (max) rubber.

THE BLADE: The Donic Zhang Jike Original Carbon blade is dynamic, powerful, has sensitive touch at impact and excellent feedback. Recommended for dynamic offensive players who play with powerful shots but expect good control.

This offensive blade corresponds to the veneer combination Zhang Jike used during his active career. The Chinese World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist worked closely with the Donic development department, which precisely implemented his specifications: an inner veneer of extremely light Kiri wood, covered by Ayous veneers and two layers of cured aramid carbon. The outer veneer consists of two layers of hard African Koto wood.

Zhang Jike was not only incredibly ambitious as a player, honing his technique to perfection; he is now doing the same in material development. Under his direction, a dynamic offensive blade has been created that represents a powerful weapon for ambitious players. The Tibhar Hybrid K3 FX particularly shows its true potential in serve and return situations, as well as in opening plays against backspin balls. Thanks to its sticky top sheet and strong catapult effect, the Hybrid K3 FX also achieves very high spin and dynamic values.

The new component in the Donic BlueGrip-J series combines the strengths of two rubbers. Under the direction of new Donic partner, Chinese superstar Zhang Jike, a symbiosis of the BlueStar A and BlueGrip C series was created.

The topsheet compound of the BlueStar A provided the basis for this mix, while the sponge structure and geometry of the topsheet correspond to those of the BlueGrip C. The result is a rubber that meets the highest demands: very dynamic and extremely spin-friendly, powerful yet sensitive.
