Good beginner paddle |
| I am relatively new at table tennis so my only experience with paddles was the cheap generic brand at the sporting goods store.
Upon receiving the paddle I was immideately impressed with the its quality of construction. The handle was a bit off color, but that wasnt a major issue. The sponge is nice and thick and the rubber is of good quality.
After playing with the paddle I noticed the major issue I have with it: its heavy. Though it is faster than my first paddles courtesy of the thick sponge it just doesnt feel fast enough for its weight.
Despite the weight factor, the paddle still plays very nicely. It has very nice control and responds the way I want it to. Being used to a cheap paddle with a very thin sponge and poor quality rubber, it almost feels as if the paddle plays itself. I dont have to put much if any force behind my shots to get effective placement.
After a month of play the paddle has shown minor signs of wear. The rubber isnt as grippy as it was though I admit, playing in a dusty basement probably isnt going to keep it in top condition for long, despite my constant attempts at cleaning it regularly. |
