This Donic Ovtcharov Senso V1 blade with a straight handle is assembled with Tibhar Nimbus Sound max red and Tibhar Evolution FX-P 1.9 black rubbers.
The blade: A new gluing technology was established during the development of the Donic Ovtcharov Senso V1 blade. Donic's top players Dima Ovtcharov and Adrian Crisan participated in the first tests and were delighted by the fantastic feel and unbelievable power of this blade. The 7-ply blade with a hard walnut outer veneer was developed to meet the new challenge that the VOC ban has presented to players. It is designed for high speed smashes and topspin. The inner plies are a carefully adjusted combination of medium hard and medium soft veneers. A revolutionary new gluing technology has been applied which results in additional rigidity to each single ply.
Red rubber: The beneficial characteristic of “speed glue” is the increased output it has over the following: sensation, sound, spin and speed. With the new Nimbus Sound, Tibhar has, thanks to the SPI technology, accentuated the sensation and sound, by using a very light sponge. This rubber provides the best blend between spin and sound and offers the player extraordinary playing flexibility. Thanks to the SPI technology the “speed glue effect” is now naturally incorporated within the rubber so therefore speedglue is not necessary.
Black rubber: Evolution FX-P from TIBHAR is the most flexible and soft version of the EVOLUTION rubber family. This rubber confers a lot of sensation and control in any playing situation. FX-P is a high-performing rubber proven by the enormous sound resulting from topspin strokes. The rubber surface is rich in spins and its soft sponge with high catapult effect gives the sufficient power necessary for a variable topspin game. The player who likes to attack near the table and is not willing to concede any ball while playing a risky game will be delighted by the fine tuning of the rubber surface with the soft sponge of the EVOLUTION FX-P.
