The Viscaria ALC blade combines Arylate fiber features of lightness, flexibility, and shock absorption with the Carbon fiber features of high elasticity and minimal dissipation of energy. Viscaria's compact head size makes it ideal for quick re-looping right off the bounce.
Finally ready for Viscaria?

When I first started out, I bought a Viscaria with Bryce rubber...not a good idea for someone new to TT! But I do remember it was amazingly powerful. And the small head made for easy backhand flicking (could it be one reason why the Chinese team likes it so much?) Anyway, it's been 15 years since, I've gotten much better, and only now do I think I'm ready for this blade. This time I'll put a slower rubber on it, possibly T05.

Very linear response

Compared to Stiga's Intensity, this one has a very linear transfer characteristic between strength and speed. The vibration is not completely stiff. I can still feel wood-like vibration when looping. It works very well with Chinese tacky rubber H3 NEO, and Rozena on BH suits very well. I was reluctant to change from Stiga Intensity to VIS, but now I really enjoy VIS. This is not a super-fast blade, and I believe I can practice with it like I do with all-wood blades. No wonder half of the Chinese national team is using it.

To be lucky

If you get that blade less than 90 grams, you have great one.

Great Job PP

Best blade for attacking player! I am really happy with PP helping me get the blade in the weight I wanted. They actually send me 4 blades and their exact weight from 90 - 93 gram. I was able to pick the one I wanted - which is often extremely hard with other online stores in the US especially those who do not have their own physical store.

You do NOT have to be an advanced player to enjoy this blade, I am definitely under 1500. When paired with Tenergy 05 all you need to do is hold the resulting racket, it can play by itself that's how fantastic this is with Tenergy 05. one can play all the common shots defense, offense, chop push loop with no problem, something you can grow your skills with for sure and develop a good touch, it is possible with this blade when combined with tenergy 05.

i have more than 50 paddles in my whole table tennis career for 33yrs and i think im going to stick with Viscaria, this racket is amazing.

Great Offense

I feel this is an advanced blade for advanced players that loop away from table. Not for beginners. High quality blade. Large sweet spot and medium feeling FL grip. If you loop closer to table Timo Boll Spirit is a better choice for a composite blade. This blade has an extra gear for full power shots.

Good Looking Blade

This blade is very good if you do a lot of looping. I use the Tibhar 1Q Sound for BH and 1Q for FH. and you can loop the ball wherever you want. Good blade with good price.

Great Blade

Great blade, very hard to find , most sites are out of stock. Very similar if not identical feel to hallmark carbon extreme

Great blade!

This is a highly sought after blade. Especially the ones that weigh less than 90 grams. It takes some time to break it in, but when that happens, it feels soft and has tons of control. Not as fast as others seem to claim. But it can produce explosive shots when you want it. It definitely has helped my short game.

Butterfly Viscaria

It was a major upgrade from my beginning bladeTimo Boll All+. It is a fast blade, and all my hits were dominantly fast. It is great for loops and powerful shots. With this blade, my backhand was significantly better. Of course my forehand was better. I had increase power and control with this blade.

Fast blade but head heavy with heavy tensor rubbers like tenergy and others.I think TBS or Michael Maze its much better balance and that would mine choice.

Yes this is very good blade but only for the players with good skill and good foot work. For most of us is way to fast.I have noticed that people in clubs I play very often buying equipment thats way over their skills, thinking for example if they buy Timo Bolls set up it will make them better, unfotunetly doesnot work like that.So viscaria was not for me I was not good anough for what that blade can do.So we all should remember skill first and then equipment.Good luck to all tt players.

current mens world champion uses it

With this paddle you have a ton of control with extreme power. I recommend this paddle to any serious table tennis player. This is the best of all.
