With Nimbus Sound, Tibhar has, thanks to the SPI technology, accentuated the sensation and sound, by using a very light sponge. This rubber provides the best blend between spin and sound and offers the player extraordinary playing flexibility. Thanks to the SPI technology the “speed glue effect” is now naturally incorporated within the rubber so therefore speedglue is not necessary.
Black performs well but breaks around the edge
3/25/2016

I bought the same rubber for both red and black sides. The red held up well but the black did not. Pieces kept coming off the top edge almost immediately. Since the rubber was the same on both sides, its not like I was using one side for backhand and one for forehand; I was agnostic to which side I was using for each shot. Maybe this was just a bad batch but will make me think twice about buying the black rubber again.

Great all-around rubber
8/31/2011

This rubber has excellent spin as it allows for longer dwell time on the blade due to the soft sponge. It has plenty of speed when combined with a fast blade. I use a Rendler F4 MD special offensive blade and the punch from it with this rubber is more than enough. If you think this rubber lacks speed, check your blades offensive rating first. You need a good balance between the blade and rubber to optimize your speed.

Really Great Rubber Sponge!
6/25/2010

I really like this rubber. It has great sound to let you know how your contact was. It has lots of control. I dont find lack of speed or spin to be a problem. My opponents dont see a lack thereof, either : . After six months the sponge is still going strong. I hope they keep making this rubber!

Excelent for Back Hand
12/9/2009

As most not all of us know different rubber is for different players so please do not comment any negative stuff about this rubber. It is excelent for back-hand,it has good control and spin is remarkable.I use Timo Boll Spirit and ALC as well and both blades react to my expectations.I have bought four more sheets and I think it is one the best rubber that Tibhar has produced.By the way it all depends upon how we play.I try to control the game by my back-hand and attck with fore hand.

SLOWER THAN RATED
4/10/2009

SOMEWHAT WHOLE LOT SLOWER THAN AS RATED AND LACK OF PUNCH FEELING. BUT GOOD QUALITY THAT IS IDENTICAL TO OMEGA II RUBBER AND VERY SOFT RUBBER SURFACE ENHANCED CONTROL.

nimbus sound
9/27/2008

tibhar nimbus sound is good when you combinate it with tibhar power 40 as a blade

Not Good, works the otherway around
5/23/2008

I agree with the previous comment. I purchased this rubber and I was pretty excited about the arrival. When the paddle and rubber finally arrived,I was very disappointed with the performance. Infact it works the other way around, it provides more control and less speed. Infact there is absolutely almost no spin on this rubber. However it makes quite a bit of the superglue sound affect. If you are looking for speed or spin, this is not the kind.

Tibhar nimbus sound
1/23/2008

This rubber plays really cool, it has the sound, feel, spin and speed of a glued rubber without the change in feel that occurs when gluing. It is very soft, it doesnt differ much from the nimbus soft, it is just a LITTLE softer and makes a sharpers sound.

Superb rubber

Boy, do I disagree with the first review of this rubber; Placed on a fast blade (Hallmark Ultra), I am able to get great torque (and speed) on my loops (even on my (rare) mid-distance shots), excellent spin on serves and pushes, and can execute a suprisingly good flat hit; And I think one shouldn't discount 'sound'... it's fun to have and lets you know when you've made a good contact... and this rubber has really great sound with no glue; Also, it doesn't have that strange feel (esp near the net) that some speed-glue-built-in (ie. tension) rubbers have; Rather, it feels like glued rubber... with both spring and touch at the same time; True, it's quite light... but I consider than an advantage rather than a disadvantage; My favorite rubber ever (so far);

Excellent Glue Effect Rubber
12/25/2007

I've been searching for a substitute for speed glue, and the Nimbus range does the trick. Nimbus sound provides the enhanced feeling of contact and extra dwell time that speed glue provides. It plays exactly like speed glued soft sponged rubbers - feel, sound, speed, and spin. This rubber is very soft, like glued up Mark V 30deg, Sriver FX, etc. Have been using it for 2 months and the performance is still good.

Useless addition to the otherwise excellent Nimbus lineup
11/23/2007

In my humble opinion, this is one useless rubber added to the Nimbus lineup. Don't get me wrong, I find Nimbus and Nimbus Soft excellent rubbers for different offensive styles. But I think the Nimbus Sound is here just to help Tibhar make more profits by diversifying sales. The Nimbus Sound, even though with speed glue effect, cannot generate the power and spin you need for a high-pressure offensive game. The reason is its overly soft sponge. You would be hard-pressed to find pro players choosing soft sponges over med or med-hard sponges. This soft sponge coupled with the slightly harder topsheet will gaurantee little spin. The sponge itself will gaurantee little speed. The only satisfying thing about this rubber is its loud cracking sound, which hardly draws attention from serious players.
