This Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon blade with a straight handle is assembled with Tibhar Evolution MX-P 1.7 red and Dr. Neubauer Explosion OX (no sponge) black rubber.

Blade: Ma Lin Carbon is a blade used by Ma Lin, who appreciates the ease with which the blade can block and loop with great power. (Ma Lin uses penhold version.) For an offensive blade in this category, there is remarkably little vibration thanks to the high quality of the wood and the process used to join the wood and the carbon.

Red rubber: Tibhar Evolution MX-P is the fastest and most dynamic rubber of the EVOLUTION rubber family. Thanks to the perfect adjustment of the pimple geometry, more flexibility is conferred to attacking balls extra energy. MX-P is very well adapted to any player's game, making no concession in terms of speed and spin. The ball/bat contact time of the MX-P is a little bit longer than the reference time, thus conferring much more sensation. Chosen by topspin players willing to feel the necessary pressure of their strokes at the table and at half distance.

Black rubber: Until now short and half-long pimple rubbers always came with a trade-off between speed and disruptive effect produced. Explosion is a new type of short pimple rubber that combines both.
The rubber enables to produce a very dynamic game through counter-attacking and hitting with all sponge thicknesses. At the same time a low bounce is created especially when used with thin sponge, resulting in direct mistakes by your opponent.
Blocking will also produce a low trajectory unlike most other short pimple rubbers on the market. Explosion does not only allow for classic blocking, but also for a "drop shot" that can be returned very short over the net. A slight forward movement while blocking will also cause trouble to your opponent as the ball literally "freezes" in the air.
