Donic Acuda S2 is the ideal rubber for attacking players who previously used soft rubbers with speed glue. Acuda S2 is a fast rubber with a medium-soft, large-pored sponge. This produces fast speeds and has a uniquely loud sound. Acuda S2 is well suited both for close to the table and away from the table game. It will give an advantage in topspin/topspin duels. This rubber is particularly enjoyable to play with because of its precise feel.

Sponge hardness: soft-medium

Playing characteristics: spin-optimized, soft and fast, with perfect control.

Recommended for: Power allrounders and attacking players

Dissappointed

When this rubber just came out, it was very good. The ball use to sink into the rubber and I can have good control over my shots and the rubber kept it's spin for about 9 months, when i played 6 hours per week. Now acuda s2 loses about 30% of it's spin after 2 months and the top sheet and sponge feels harder, the ball does not sink into the top sheet like before. Donic changed the formula. I will now have to look for another rubber to buy.

Great looping rubber

I ordered this after using the Mendo Energy rubbers for a long time and this is definitely better for an all-around to looping game. However, I would prefer the rubber to be just slightly more tacky like perhaps the DHS Hurricane 3, otherwise happy with the rubber, easier to loop than the DHS.

1900 rating Good for power loop

My coach keeps telling me to slow down and start an attack with a spiny topspin but I always have the killer instinct and go hard the first time. Tenergy 64 and 05 pushed my first balls out because the had a relatively high projectile which want not my thing so with this rubber I start my power attack from the word go and I and good to go. It has a lot of control for counter loop which I find useful. Hoping to get to 2000 this year.

Acuda S2 is not as good as S1
12/13/2012

Using this rubber for about 10 times and it started to wear out and loss of spin. It has a hard feel and a hard sound with the orange color large pores sponge. It performs not bad comparing to other spring sponge rubbers otherewise. Also tried my friends S1 which has a white spring sponge and actually feel softer. Probably similar in durablity.

Same rubber w/. 55-60 hours of use

Lately I started sensing some loss of spin. It got it back with a little paraffin oil scrubbed on it. It still looks brand new. Nothing on the center of the surface that makes it look used like normally we see w/. that kind of use.

It is misleading for people who used to reglue soft rubbers. The sponge is medium to medium hard and it feels that way. I would like it to say the RESULTS are similar to such a glued rubber. The days of glued rubbers are past and as good as these rubbers may be, they are DIFFERENT. That said, this rubber is extremely good for a controled attacking game. Very solid for blocking passively and agressively and good for changing direction blockings w/. spin. Also great for pushing short and heavy spin. The description in the package that says it is for the power allrounders and attacking players couldnt be more accurate. Also very secure and predictable on topspin and counter looping. And, yes, you can smash bullets w/. it. In a word, more than I expected from a rubber without speed glue.
